Jon says... Buy
Toasted Head is known for MASSIVE wines. Viognier is weird experiment for them, but it looks like it worked. They didn’t pull back on the flavor or try to make Viognier something that it’s not. Actually, I think they did a pretty good job. It’s got a nice, floral nose. When you drink it, you definitely get hit with alcohol and spice. It could use a little bit more fruit, but I don’t want to complain. This is the best attempt at affordable Viognier that I have found yet.

Toasted Head, most famous for their super oaky Chardonnay, has been growing Viognier since they last 1980s. Their Viognier is dry and full bodied and reminds me a lot about Chardonnay. It has a creamy and slightly fruity finish, with hints of apricot. This wine is going to go great with chicken or spicy Asian dishes.
