So big and smooth and solid. What a great deal. I found Santa Ema on a Continental Airlines. They serve the stuff in little single serving bottles for $5 a pop. Head to Trader Joe’s and you get a whole 750ml bottle for $5. And it’s tasty.
Pair it with everything from a steak to a hamburger to pizza. It’s versatile, smooth and fruity enough for everything.

The Maipo Valley is located in central Chile, just south of Santiago in a region bound by the Andes Mountains to the east, the Coastal Range to the West, and the Maipo River to the north. This is one of the most celebrated regions in Chile and is home to some of the oldest vineyards in South America.
This wine exhibits a nice spice and fruit on the nose. It follows with a medium body carrying even more fruit, balanced out by firm tannins. Overall, this wine is very well balanced, will go great with food, and is an exceptional buy at $5.
