Jon says... Well Priced
Definite food wine. It’s pretty light for a chianti and doesn’t have much of a nose. Flavors of cherry and licorice are there, but it needs more. I had it with grilled steak and it didn’t stand up to the spice rub and barbeque sauce. This is a lighter wine that would be better with chicken or fish.
Ted says... Well Priced
A simple wine, this starts off with some cherry aromas and carries the cherry through the finish—which is quick and unexpected. The wine has very mild tannis so it’s not going to hold up to complex meals. It would go great with some simpler dishes or some lightly spiced steaks. Pizza would go equally well rounding out the Italian theme.
