Jon says... Well Priced

Definite food wine… this Bordeaux is very reserved at first, but opens up a lot with dinner. Alone, it’s smooth and silky with a light blend of red/black fruits and tannins, but a little boring. Pair it with chicken or a steak and you get to see a whole new side of this wine. It adds depth and excitement to the meal and goes with most entrees.

This wine is like going on a date with someone who’s a little shy. Dinner starts off kind of slow, but then they get more comfortable after appetizers and end up really impressing you. Bordeaux is especially sexy, so give it a try for Valentine’s day.

Ted says... Well Priced

This Bordeaux is a blend of 60% Merlot, 28% Cabernet Sauvignon, and 12% Cabernet Franc. This blend indicates this wine comes most likely from the right bank region of Bordeaux, where Merlot takes a liking to the clay-like soil.

I got a touch of plum and spice on the noise and this fuller bodied wine finished with good tannins and a hint of vanilla, probably from the oak aging. This wine really needs some food with, especially something fatty, like duck, to help balance it out.
