Jon says... Well Priced
Light and fruity. I definitely liked the first taste with flavors like honeysuckle, lime and green apple, but it trailed off too soon. Then again, Barefoot is know for cheap wine, not wine with substance. They did a good job. They got the right flavors and style, but need to step up the quality a notch or two.
Ted says... Buy
A 2006 Gold Medal winner at the Indy International Wine Competition, Barefoot’s Pinot Grigio is an excellent deal. $5 in California and $8-10 here in DC, this wine is a great buy. On the nose, apple and citrus are plentiful and the finish is flavorful and nicely acidic. This wine is an easy drinker but it also pairs well. I enjoyed it with some spicy Thai curry and it was most delicious.
