This is a forum for users to tell us what they want 2GU to do. We love to hear you feedback and are always looking for some great ideas:
-Do you want us to review a certain wine or type of wine?
-Do you want us to add a wine-related feature?
-Do you want to call BS on us?
Tell us. We want to give the users what they want.

My mom wrote me an email this morning asking that 2GU:
“Try to do some reviews on 15 dollar Bordeauxs.”.
OK!
Jon,
Please review some German Rieslings. I find them delicious, but my husband doesn’t always agree. What is the deal?
FatMama
I adore German rieslings. Too bad that TJ’s has a crappy selection of 2-3 $5 bottles. Whole Foods occasionally gets a good bottle or two.
Hopefully TJ’s and WFs will get some a better selection so 2GU can do a German riesling week.
Yes, tonight I just picked up 2 German Rieslings and a Spanish one. All under $10, look for those reviews sometime next week!
I very much enjoy Argentine wine – particularly Malbec. Any suggestions?
I’m a huge fan of Brachetto d’Acqui – a sweet, sparkling red. I’ve only had the Banfi Rose Regale, but I’ve heard there are variations available at Whole Foods…
We’ll be working on the Malbec’s soon enough :)
I’ll second the cry for Spanish Reds – I love Tempranillos, Riojas, and Grenaches.
Also, it might be a cool feature to add a rating/feedback mechanism for registered users. That way we can see not only if you guys both liked it, but how it rates amongst our fellow users. If you want to get fancy and drop some localization features in there, you can then show how the wines you review rate locally, in different regions, and among groups of friends (a la Netflix’ “community” section).

bootstrapper, yes those are excellent ideas.
A couple of our planned features include:
Stay tuned!
I just picked up that Spanish Riesling….yummy.
guys, give us suggestions on the best wine tastings in the DC area (are you based in dc?) places like tallulah, bistrot lepic, le chat noir, etc. all have wine tastings…if you’ve been it would be fun to hear your feedback (like who gives the most generous pour!) also what boutique wine stores have the best selection under $10?
Definitely! Great ideas and I plan to post something like that soon. I’m in DC and Jon is in San Francisco, so he’ll do the same, stay tuned :)
