Fruity and light… which is a surprise for chardonnay. Clearly, these winemakers noticed the huge growth in sauvignon blanc recently when they decided to drop the oak and focus on the fruit. It’s tasty and simple and $7. How can you go wrong at this price. Plus it’s got a cool label.

Not your typical oaked Chardonnay, but who’s gonna argue when it’s under $7. This light Chardonnay has great fruit on the nose, with a bit of pineapple and green apple. It is a tad bit sweet and finishes with a touch of vanilla that comes from the light oaking. The wine isn’t super balanced but for the price, who cares. It’s an easy drinker and it’s going to pair well with fish or chicken. Or it’ll go great by itself on a warm summers day. For your friends that are “white zin” drinkers, this would be a good way to get them to a more “real” wine :)
